Powder Placenta

Katrina Daschner
Austria 2015 / 9’
experimental

The latest work by Katrina Daschner—the subject of a T-Mobile New Horizons retrospective two years ago—emerges out of the words of Goethe’s Epirrhema. This is a theatrical and picturesque contemplation on the beauty of nature that delights in all forms of life. The artist’s interest in corporality can be seen in Powder Placenta, but, in this case, it functions on a different basis, as an expression of life.
