Virgil Widrich
Austria 2015 / 7’

Virgil Widrich is known for the characteristic production techniques used in his short films. His latest achievement is equally atypical, as he combines fragments from 25 feature films that were made over the course of the last few decades. Widrich manages not only to pull off this surprising feat, but he also transforms them into a 3D format and, in doing so, confirms the status conferred upon him by Peter Tscherkassky as “one of Austria’s most creative filmmakers.”
