Fabric is a set of connected fragments originating in footage shot for commercials at the end of the 1940s that never made it into the final versions. Its protagonists are a young tailor, models, and a Renaissance sculpture inside a building. The beauty of art is purposefully juxtaposed with the beauty of the human body, as personified by women trying on new outfits.
