Broad Peak is based on the true events of Maciej Berbek - the legendary Polish mountaineer, belonging to a group of famed Ice Warriors, who wanted to reach the top of one of the most dangerous mountains in the world. It is also the first fictional film in the world shot at over 5,000 meters above sea level, and the team worked in Karakoram (5600 m above sea level). The artists' desire to create an authentic portrait of the climber's struggle with the mountain and elements required many difficult decisions and long-term logistic preparations. How long did it take to shoot at such a high altitude? How did the team prepare at base camp? Filmmakers of Broad Peak - director Leszek Dawid and cinematographer Łukasz Gutt will answer these and other questions.
