A portrait of the residents of Grunwald, a placed marked by a great history that is today a sleepy village steeped in stagnation. The monotony is interrupted once a year by boisterous celebrations of the victory of 1410. The holiday allows residents to forget about their troubles, while the promises made by politicians and the media attention give them hope for the future. What remains is the gap between great words about patriotism and everyday life in which people collect snails and sell swords at the market in order to earn money.
