Mohammed and Farouk seemingly have little in common. Mohammed has returned to Palestine for a short visit, carrying a permanent residence card and the promise of a peaceful future. Farouk, on the other hand, is a young taxi driver condemned to live in one of the world's most dangerous places. When their lives intersect, stark differences emerge, creating tensions that are hard to navigate. Can Mohammed and Farouk bridge their divides when confronted with the arrogance of Israeli soldiers?
Clermont-Ferrand International Short FF 2024 - Grand Prix
Mohammed Almughanni, born in 1994 in Gaza, studied at the Łódź Film School. He directs both feature films and documentaries, primarily exploring the multifaceted Israeli-Palestinian conflict. His film An Orange from Jaffa won the Grand Prix at the Clermont-Ferrand Festival, one of the world's most prestigious short film festivals.
