In Vilnius, Lithuania, a charming apartment in an old townhouse doubles as an Airbnb and sets the stage for five distinct love stories. An Irish woman celebrates her bachelorette party; an Israeli couple explores their Lithuanian roots while dreaming of parenthood; a beleaguered, aging musician attempts to reclaim his lost love; a young man strives to impress his partner; and an older Polish couple commemorates their anniversary. Between stays, Jolanta, the cleaning lady, weaves through the narrative like a spectral presence, her own romantic tale unfolding silently. The walls, windows, and objects within the apartment absorb and reflect the emotions, joys, and sorrows of its occupants, aging under the weight of their desires and the city’s historical burdens. By confining the action to this single location, the director magnifies each character, highlighting the distinctiveness and universality embedded in their experiences.
