For centuries, humans have feared the start of the new millennium. It’s New Year’s Eve 1999: “the end of the world” is approaching. Doom and gloom, uncertainty, and all-encompassing millennial paranoia are the main themes dealt with in this animated film, which makes reference to film noir conventions.
