Olga is a single mother raising two daughters. When one of them ends up in the hospital, Olga not only has to come to terms with her child’s illness, but she is forced to see her ex-husband as well. Attempts to obtain information about their daughter’s health and mutual machinations shed light on the grievances of the former spouses. As the girl’s condition deteriorates, the tension builds, leading to an unexpected finale.
Zofia Kowalewska is a fourth-year student at the Łódź Film School, and she completed a documentary filmmaking course at the Wajda School. She directed the acclaimed documentary Close Ties (produced by Munk Studio), which won more than 40 awards at prestigious festivals in Poland and abroad, and it was included on the short list of 10 films that had a chance to be nominated for an Oscar 2017. She won a Talenty Trójki award in 2017 in the film category, and she is a three-time winner of a Minister of Culture and National Heritage scholarship.
