Sophie has had her share of bad luck in life. She is an incorrigible romantic, she doesn’t like her job, and she has to put up with minor tribulations on a daily basis. Her real troubles begin, however, when she bumps into an ex she moved to another city to escape from. At first, she believes he has changed, but their relationship turns, once again, into a series of quarrels and verbal violence.
Dominika Gnatek studied art history at the University of Wrocław and directing in the Faculty of Radio and Television at the University of Silesia in Katowice. Her short student film Nie jesteś zły was screened at several Polish festivals, including KAN and Euroshorts. Her film Otwórz mi was produced with support from the Krakow Film Foundation. In 2018, she was nominated for a Lower Silesian WARTO award in the film category. She is a screenwriter and an award-winning author. She lives in Wroclaw.
