A great race to the Moon is under way, with teams from all around the world vying to be the first to plant their flag on its surface. Soon, the bold Solan and the slightly more cautious Luca start dreaming about traveling to outer space in a rocket built by Alfie, a friend who makes—not always successfully—unusual inventions at home. A TV crew arrives at the launch pad, and the entire country is on the edge of their seat as they follow the flight preparations. Everyone keeps their fingers crossed for the brave, though unusual, astronauts. Will Solan and Luca realize their dream of becoming famous astronauts?
