A short film by the icon of the silent cinema, Charlie Chaplin. This time Charlie is a clumsy fireman, who finally finds himself at the fire fighting operation of his life. As a gentleman, "victim of fire", is counting on an insurance payment, he talks the fire brigade's commander into not noticing the fact that his house is on fire. However, they are both unaware, that the gentleman's daughter, who is the commander's sweetheart, is inside the burning building.
