A mysterious engineer is developing a trap inside a building’s elevator system. His victims are innocent young women. He photographs his accomplishments in order to create a family photograph from the past. This restores his memories and serves as a kind of catharsis. Rafał Kaczmarek’s film was made during the 48 Hour Film Project 2015.
Born in Poznan in 1992, an architect and graduate of the Wrocław University of Technology. An independent filmmaker by choice, associated with the FOSA Academic Club for Filmmakers in Wrocław, which he joined at the end of 2014. A year later, he, along with other members of the club, made two short features, Pustostan and Smile. Went to Turkey in 2015 to document the situation involving refugees from Syria. Used the material collected to make an impressionistic documentary. Is currently working on another short feature called Poślizg (Skid).
