The Offspring Resembles the Parent

Lina Selander, Oscar Mangione
Sweden 2015 / 14’

“Money does not exist in nature, but only by law,” claimed Aristotle. The protagonist of this experimental work is in fact money, which has accompanied human development for generations and whose existence, according to the philosopher, is not something natural like the life of animals or plants. Its presence is not necessarily required for human development. The filmmakers present various means of capital exchange, showing just how much the look and value of socio-economic currency has changed.
