Cyprien Gaillard
France 2015 / 15’

Nightlife was made for 3D cinema. The three-dimensional technique brings to life Rodin’s Thinker, trees moving in the wind, a pyrotechnics show, and architecture. All of this is presented in a compelling framework of colors and a game of light and shadow, accompanied by music from Alton Ellis’s Black Man’s World that repeats throughout the entire film. Initially, the film was intended for K20 – Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen in Düsseldorf, but it has also been successfully screened at a variety of film festivals.
