The unhurried, contemplative movement of the camera shows the richness of nature and, at the same time, the devastation of an amusement park in Casablanca. Today, the park is mainly a meeting place for teenagers, who gather there, discuss various subjects, and whose behavior reveals just how much influence social media has on them. Maroufi distances herself from didacticism and moralizing. Rather than presenting an unambiguous message, she offers various possibilities for interpretation.
Born in 1987 in Casablanca. Her creative work focuses on gender issues. The problems that interest her find an outlet through photography, film, installations, and performance art. She divides her private and professional lives between Tangier and Lille. She made her first short film, Dear Dad, in 2013.
