Andrzej wants to start a snail breeding farm and, despite his lack of experience, truly believes it will be a success. Help arrives from the Polish guru of snail farming, called the ‘Snail King’. Prior to the farm getting into full swing, the two men discuss life and death, love and friendship, while the snail becomes a symbol of rebirth and eternal life.

Grzegorz Szczepaniak

Born in 1984 in Lublin. He is a guitarist by education, a graduate of the F. Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, and a film editor, a graduate of the Lodz Film School. The Snails, his documentary debut, was made during the DOK PRO course organised by the Wajda School in Warsaw. The film was developed under the artistic supervision of Jacek Bławut, Marcel Łoziński and Vita Żelakeviciute.
