Woods, trees, branches, leaves and plants, shot against the background of a constantly changing aura, are objects of contemplation in this experimental film by the Austrian director Michaela Grill. The Experimental Forest is a search for suitable forms of reproduction, which give rise to the need to change colourisation, sets and viewpoints: an attempt to write the nature of the film’s object into the frame. The particular texture of the film allows the imitation of the sense of touch.
