60-year-old Krystyna is a poor pensioner who lives in a small village deep in the forest. Each day, she patiently sells homemade honey on the road, because she really needs the money for an important trip. To the woman’s annoyance, prostitutes begin working ‘her road’. The initial conflict unexpectedly turns into a kind of intimacy in an intimate story of trust, prejudice and surpassing one’s own limitations.
Holds degrees in History from the University of Gdansk and Directing-Cinematography at the Gdynia Film School. Witek has worked on several documentary films, which mainly concerned social and environmental issues, as cinematographer and editor. Real Honey is his graduate thesis.
