Several years ago, three American families decided to establish the first Amish settlement in Poland. Only the Martin family remains – father, mother and their numerous children. Through the director’s patient eye, we observe short moments from their lives on subtle images that show the deep and authentic relationship between the characters, nature and the world.

Born in 1982 in Dębno, Złotorowicz holds a degree in Automation and Robotics from Szczecin University of Technology. In 2006, he enrolled at the Polish National Film, Television and Theatre School in Łódź and his student documentary film, Charcoal Burners, has shown at over 120 international festivals and received has more than 30 prizes and awards. His short feature film Normal People won the Silver Tadpole for Nicolás Villegas Hernández’s cinematography at the Plus Camerimage festival in 2011.
