Business or pleasure? a border officer at the Los Angeles airport asks Bella Cherry as the charming though slightly naive 19-year-old arrives from her native Sweden to California to pursue a career as a porn star. Is pornography that respects women possible? Bella is no victim of exploitation or trafficking; she comes from a wealthy country, is conscious, sex-positive and full of faith that she can decide about herself and her body. Sex work is not a compulsion for her, but a choice. And the California porn industry appears to be fully legal and governed by rules designed to protect actresses and actors from abuse. As Bella plunges into successive "circles of hell," it becomes clear that despite all efforts to civilize, the porn industry remains a gray area and the line between consent and coercion is blurred. An authentic and uncompromising film reveals everything that does not fit in the frame of a YouPorn film: from hygienic preparations and warming up the actors, through negotiations during hard core scenes, to the method of filming and camera settings for the best effect. We see everything through Bella's eyes, we see exactly what she sees, without censorship and without anesthesia.
