I Do Not Care If We Go Down in History as Barbarians Mirai

Ari Aster, the director of the acclaimed Hereditary, is back with another astonishing work. Midsommar is one of those films that you will remember for the rest of your life. Both visually stunning and terrifying, it is a visionary work filled with extraordinary symbolism. Dani and Christian are young Americans who make a last-ditch effort to try to save their failing relationship. Grieving in the wake of a family tragedy, Dani decides to join Christian and his friends on a summertime expedition to the north of Sweden. There, in a village cut off from the world, an ancient festival of the summer solstice is celebrated once every ninety years. Their romantic getaway quickly turns into a cruel and disturbing journey. For Dani and Christian, the idyllic landscape becomes an uneven battlefield for their relationship and the setting for an attempt to overcome their own weaknesses. This is the most disturbing film of the decade.
