The Night Eats the World

Sebastián Hofmann's film takes place at a luxurious resort, where crowds of people come to enjoy the best vacation of their lives. But is this place really so wonderful? There are shadows lurking in the sunlight, and cracks are appearing in the smooth facade. The peace and quiet of paradise is disturbed by the hiss of snakes. During the film, we see two men-a resort employee and one of the guests-who become overwhelmed by paranoid suspicions. The movie is a combination of a psychological thriller and black comedy. If you imagined a resurrected Franz Kafka filming the holiday adventures of the Griswolds, this is what they might look like. An additional attraction is the appearance of RJ Mitte-Walter Jr. from Breaking Bad-in a supporting role as a surprisingly demonic character.
