Tomboy Adele is 15 years old, dressed in jeans and hair styled in a messy ponytail. She comes from an ordinary family, where the climax of culinary sophistication is her father’s spaghetti, which she devours, speaking with her mouth open. Adele is also consumed with a passion for books. She is beautiful, but she doesn’t know it. Samir, a friend from school, is suitable for a first boyfriend. The sex turns out to be nice, but something is missing. Everything comes together when Emma appears in Adele’s life – a bright-haired, somewhat older artist. Sure of herself and her psychosexual identity, the woman ushers Adele into a world of fulfilment, desire that is stronger than the need to breathe and love – for a woman. In Emma’s arms Adele takes shape, learning to move through life with her own, sure step. The sensuality and strength of the relationship between Adele and Emma are almost embarrassing. When the two women are on the screen, nothing else exists. Beautiful in all their flaws, memorable in their desire for love, these heroines raise this story, embedded in a very specific context, to a universal level comprehensible to anyone with a beating heart.
