Izabela Bartosik-Burkhardt
Poland, France 2012 / 10’

This is tale of Agnieszka, whose childhood was darkened by the shadow of her mother’s departure. In a richly textured portrayal of the world of a child in pain and desperately longing for love, the artist tells of a lost childhood, loneliness, and the survival instincts that in the end lead the girl to reclaim the child within and allow her to come out of seclusion.
