Get Ready to Be Boyzvoiced is a fascinatingly satirical caricature of cheesy boy bands populating the music industry circa AD 2000. Directors Espen Eckbo, Henrik Elvestad and Mathis Fürst catalogue the ups-and-downs of the fictitious group Boyzvoiced (Norwegian cousins of the Backstreet Boys), complete with scheming manager, idiotic fan, and calculating groupies. Federico Fellini would have made just this kind of movie if only he read ‘Twist Magazine’!
Espen Eckbo (born in 1973) is a Norwegian actor, writer, and comic whose career began in 1998 when he starred in the Mandagsklubben television series. He continues to create numerous television shows, many of which use his favorite mockumentary convention.
