Itto (Oumaïma Barid) is in advanced pregnancy - and terrifyingly lonely. Her husband's wealthy family doesn't even bother hiding their disdain for her; they see her as a fearful Cinderella who always has dirty hands and befriends the kitchen workers while the Prince takes care of business. When she finally manages to beg for a moment of freedom, something very disturbing begins to unfold around her. Itto embarks on a long journey, encountering indifference, empty stares, and increasingly strange phenomena that no one can understand. However, she remembers her own strength. In her award-winning feature debut at Sundance, Sofia Alaoui references Tarkovsky, diving into his Zone and blending acerbic satire on contemporary Moroccan society with science fiction. She depicts lost individuals who, faced with yet another crisis, as usual, don't know who to turn to. Their loved ones, kind strangers, or perhaps to God himself, who remains silent as the world goes up in flames.
