A comically absurd parable in the spirit of Tadeusz Różewicz and Michel Gondra that tells the story of a furniture maker who, after the fall of communism, expands his business, from camp beds right through to run-ins with the mafia. He pays a price in his private life for getting drunk on freedom and capitalism. The Polish transformation from an armchair point of view, or 20 scenes from the groundbreaking events in Poland’s recent history, with Prof. Leszek Balcerowicz himself in one of the roles.
