The Toxic Camera

Jane Wilson, Louise Wilson
UK 2012 / 21’

The Toxic Camera, by Jane and Luise Wilson, relates directly to Vladimir Shevchenko’s documentary Chernobyl: A Chronicle of Difficult Weeks shot shortly after the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear reactor explosion. The filmmakers, however, are not interested in the tragedy, but how it influenced people and the camera recording the radiation.
