Shot at an abandoned estate in the west of Ireland, this experimental film is a journey through a world of sensitivity and emotions, passing from one extreme to the next: from laughter to tears, from sadness to joy. Pulling Up Roots is also a journey linking the past with the present.
Born in 1947 in Philadelphia.Artistic activities include the fields of photography, film, and art installations. Between 1967 and 1969, studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Graduated in 1971 with a BFA from the Philadelphia College of Art and seven years later with an MFA from the Tyler School of Art. Currently a professor in the Department of Film, Video, Animation and New Genres at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
