Athens, mid-1960s. Journalists of a radio station are preparing a street poll, asking passersby what features should be characteristic of a perfect citizen. Among the respondents one stands out - a man about thirty years of age, who is invited by the journalists to the recording studio and - as a reward - to an elegant party. The first finished and released film by Theo Angelopoulos made in the turbulent times of political and moral transformations in Greece. The Broadcast obtained the critics' award at the Thessaloniki festival. It is a brilliant satire of media and radio programs aimed to determine an ideal man and woman, which were very popular in the 1960s.
