Violence and drugs are perennial subjects for artists from Central and South America, who by means of their works signal issues consuming these regions. The German-Mexican co-production Reality 2.0 deals with the same problem. Ramirez’s animated documentary is a pure socially engaged movie and, at the same time, the author’s personal voice. The voice of an expatriate emotionally attached to his homeland.

Victor Orozco Ramirez studied Documentary Filmmaking at the Academy of Applied Arts in Hamburg. He makes short forms and his works include stories, animations and documentaries. He estashed Ambulart, a Short Film Festival in Mexico and Germany.
