Federsee

John Skoog
Sweden, Germany 2013 / 8’
experimental

The promotional materials for Federsee describe it as anti-ethnographic, which is surprising since it is a film that discusses expressions of folk culture in Bad Buchau, a small town in the German region of Swabia. The movement of masked people during the carnival might remind initiates of similar traditions in Upper Silesia.
