A picture postcard from Cracow. The director himself is the city guide, and the culminating point - is Leonardo da Vinci's The Lady with the Ermine from the Czartoryski Museum collection. Zanussi tells the story of the model, who posed for The Lady… and of allegorical meaning of the animal she holds in her arms. About the initial background, later covered with black paint. He draws a comparison between Mona Lisa and The Lady… asking rhetorically which one is more beautiful.
