A Porter from Mewa Hotel

Władysław Zawada works as a porter at one of the worker’s hotels of People’s Republic of Poland called Mewa. He is performing his everyday duties with remarkable accuracy that reflects his growing commitment to the communist ideology. A tragicomic story of a man whose blind devotion and meticulousness lead to the hopeless end.

Michał Janów

Born in 1978 in Żywiec. He studied at the Cracow University of Technology, AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow. Graduated from Directing Department at  Krzysztof Kieślowski Radio and Television Facutly of University of Silesia in Katowice. He is a student at documentary course at Wajda School. A Porter from Mewa Hotel is his graduation film.
