Clara van Gool, born in Amsterdam, she graduated from the Dutch Film & Television Academy in 1985. After first film on leaving the film academy, the awarded short Reserve, Clara van Gool continued to develop her own cinematic language in a form that is usually described as dance-film. She successfully continued to make dance-films, receiving many awards worldwide, and experimented with different narrative techniques. Between Two Houses (2006) was her first fiction film.

 

Nils Post N.S.C. After graduation in 1985 at the Dutch Film Academy in Amsterdam, started out as a focus puller on features. From 1990 on, he worked exclusively as director of photography shooting projects ranging from features, TV movies and series to documentaries, historical films (WW II ) and commercials. As a result of a longtime collaboration with director Clara van Gool, shot several films that involve dance.

Reserve was Van Gool's first film. Two women dressed in fur dance in the woods surrounded by a motorway. They don't speak, only the sounds of automobiles or the surfacing of a fox from its hole break their enclosed space. Removed from the modern world, they can freely express their desire through dance, performance and music.

Dance film inspired by the Tarantella, a dance named after the tarantula spider. Bitings in the title refers to a bite from the spider, after which one is captivated by a biting pain and state of heavy melancholy transferring to a untiring urge to dance. Shot on location in Palermo, Sicily.

A wild party in a block of flats in a former Eastern bloc country has a fatal end. It is winter and two couples dance the tango, being actually alone, in their own flat. The dance film inspired by the dance production Ocho.

Short dance film by is based on footage from the documentary The Making of a New Empire, filmed in Grozny, Chechnya 1998 under direction of Jos de Putter. Zikr, the traditional dance or a ritual performance situated in war-stricken Chechenya, dates back to forefathers.

Lucky tells the story of a man in Barcelona who tries to reconcile himself with the death of his father. In a purely physical way, the roles of father and son alternate with each other. First part of the triptych in which three different characters have a solo performance, was inspired by the performance by Jordi Cortès Molina, produced by Heightened Reality.
