A group portrait of some men who work on a river ferry. Day after day, they pull ropes in order to connect one bank of the river with the other. Their world will soon cease to exist, as there are plans to build a bridge. Some of them have spent nearly a quarter of a century aboard the boat. Marcin Lesisz’s film is an attempt to capture the last days of this forgotten local microcosm.
