Although the literal witch hunts have ended a couple of millennia ago, today women who think independently and make unconventional choices can sometimes be stigmatised.
During the meeting hosted by the editors of the feminist magazine G’rls ROOM we will discuss various depictions of witches in culture, the mechanisms of the exclusion of women, and what the figure of a witch can offer to modern feminists, artists and, most importantly, all the girls who refuse to fit in the fixed patriarchal model. The debate will take place after the screenings of Lapü (dir. César Alejandro Jaimes, Juan Pablo Polanco) and How to Use the Pyramid (dir. Karolina Zajączkowska).
