Unchanged: an adventurous program, countless international meetings, and an extraordinary audience that will once again gather in the heart of beautiful Wrocław this summer. The festival's strength is its commitment to growth and innovation, and this year marks an exciting new chapter as Bank BNP Paribas joins as the festival’s title partner—which, much like New Horizons, has cinema embedded in its DNA.

The 25th BNP Paribas New Horizons International Film Festival will take place from July 17 to 27, with an online edition extending until August 3.

History, from the beginning

The collaboration between Bank BNP Paribas and New Horizons is no coincidence. Together, we champion cinema in many ways—honoring its past, embracing its future, and celebrating its artistic richness. For a quarter of a century, the festival has illuminated significant yet often overlooked cinematic movements and pioneers, with retrospectives and auteur spotlights forming a core part of its program. The BNP Paribas Group shares this passion for film heritage, having supported the restoration of classic films like Modern Times by Charlie Chaplin and the preservation of legendary cinemas, such as the iconic Le Balzac in Paris.

Yet, cinema is more than history—it is about community. For years, the BNP Paribas Group has supported over 40 film festivals worldwide, nurturing spaces where original, thought-provoking cinema thrives. At New Horizons, this sense of community has always been paramount: a gathering of curious, empathetic, and passionate film lovers who make the festival truly one of a kind.

- The partnership between New Horizons and Bank BNP Paribas ensures the festival’s stability and growth—something crucial in today’s ever-changing landscape. We are thrilled to align with a partner that has loved and supported art cinema for over 100 years, supporting events such as the Festival Lumière in Lyon or the Quinzaine des cinéastes in Cannes. I am convinced that this collaboration is a natural fit, and our audience will see the benefits firsthand at this special 25th-anniversary edition of the festival, says Marcin Pieńkowski, Festival Director.

- New Horizons is a cult festival with a global reputation. Our Group has been an international force for over 200 years—supporting cinema for more than 100. In the spirit of our slogan, “We love cinema,” we celebrate both classics and bold new voices that challenge conventions and inspire reflection. As the Bank for a Changing World, we are constantly expanding our horizons, and now we do so as part of an excellent duo, emphasizes Małgorzata Wasiuk, Brand Strategy and Activation Director at BNP Paribas Bank Poland.
