The festival's Closing Gala and a meeting with Rafał Zawierucha from Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood
The penultimate day of the festival stars with a meeting with Albert Serra, the subject of a retrospective this year, who, together with Montse Triola (producer), will tell us about their work on the set of The Lord Worked Wonders on Me (9:45; there will be another opportunity to meet with Serra and Triola at 15:30 following a screening of Liberté). During the first block, we also invite you to a screening of Bait and an interview with Mark Jenkin (10:00).
In the early afternoon, we will see you at a screening of Ghost Tropic (12:45), to be followed by a Q&A session with Bas Devos. A screening of Portrait of a Lady on Fire will also get under way at the same time, which will be followed by a debate called Freedom, equality, and sisterhood: what's worth fighting for, prepared in cooperation with the magazine Zwierciadło. In the evening, there will be an opportunity to see Green Belt and The Taste of Crème Brûlée (19:15) and to speak with the filmmakers: Rossana Torres and Hiroatsu Suzuki.
We recommend that you start your encounters with art at 17:30, when the final interactive performance of Kontr-akt gets under way at IP Studio. We also invite you to Internal Life: The Bump at the Studio BWA Wrocław gallery, A Horizontal Panorama: Kodras at TIFF Gallery, Albert Serra's multimedia installation Sun King at OP ENHEIM, and the interactive exhibition Cabinet | Das Kabinett at Centennial Hall.
Getting under way at 18:00 is the festival's Closing Gala, which will reveal the winners of the New Horizons International Competition and the Audience Award. The closing film will be Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood, Quentin Tarantino's latest work. Our guest will be Rafał Zawierucha, the actor who plays the role of Roman Polański in the film.
Dreams do indeed come true: Roman Gutek as a DJ. Yes, you heard that right: The legendary founder of New Horizons will be playing back2back with DJ ConsTANZ today. We will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Gutek Film together and bid a fond farewell to this year's Festival Club at Arsenal.
