Meeting with Anna Odell, director of X&Y, Chroma at the Capitol and a G'rls ROOM debate.
Let's start the day with a better understanding of the "body we live in"- check out the Body. Voice. Intuition workshops starting at 11:00 and hosted by Iza Chlewińska, choreographer, director, and co-creator of the visual identity for the 19th New Horizons International Film Festival. You're invited to Ridge at 13:00 and later to a meeting with John Skoog (director), Ita Zbroniec-Zajt (cinematographer), and Agnieszka Podsiadlik (actress). At 13:15, we'll have a chance to see Anna Odell's latest film, X&Y. The director will meet with the audience following the screening.
At 16:00, we invite you to a debate organized by G'rls Room. Together with Ewa Szabłowska, the selector for the Third Eye section; Karolina Zajączkowska, director of the film How to Use the Pyramid; and Samia Mandragora, the creator of online women's circles, we will talk about where to look for modern-day witches and sorceresses (the debate will start after the screening of the films Lapü and How to Use the Pyramid).
In the evening, we recommend an encounter with art. At 18:00, we invite you to a curatorial tour of the exhibition Inner Life: The Bump at the Studio BWA Wrocław gallery. Also worth seeing is A Horizontal Panorama: Kodras at TIFF Gallery, Balans Ambient Room #3 at IP Studio, and Albert Serra's multimedia installation Sun King at OP ENHEIM. At Centennial Hall, you can watch (and experience) the interactive exhibition Cabinet | Das Kabinett.
At 19:00, you are invited to Chroma: Księga kolorów based on a book by Derek Jarman. The essays about colors written by the outstanding British director and cult figure of the 1980s and 1990s are an extraordinary song in praise of life and, at the same time, a confession, testament, and farewell to the world-Jarman wrote the book while he was dying of AIDS and losing his sight.
Before we all head off to the Festival Club at Arsenal, we invite you to Property (19:00) and a Q&A with the director, Matthias Lintner, or to a meeting with the makers of the documentary From the Inside, Cezary Grzesiuk, Tomasz Szwan, and Krystian Kamiński, after the screening at 19:15. In the last block of the evening, we recommend Yung (22:00), as well as a meeting with the film's director, Henning Gronkowski.
Today at Arsenal, we will be traveling to the not-so-far North, as GISS and Paweł Juzwuk present sounds inspired by the Oslo/Reykjavik 2 section.
