Special screening of Satan's Tango, a debate about By the Grace of God, and a concert inspired by Midsommar.

We're going to start the day with an unusual story about love, loss, and fitness: you're all invited to a screening of Family Members at 10:00 and a meeting with the director, Mateo Bendesky. At 12:30, we recommend Olanda, an extravagant and hypnotic portrait of the kingdom of mushrooms (there will be a Q&A with the director, Bernd Schoch, after the film). Béla Tarr's iconic Satan's Tango - one of the most important films to capture the essence of what New Horizons is all about-will get under way at 13:15.

In the early afternoon, Sacha Polak (director) and Vicky Knight (actress) will talk about working on the set of Dirty God (screening at 15:45). At 16:00, we will see 70 years of WFDiF. Wrocław in Polish Film Chronicles, together with Włodzimierz Niderhaus, director of the Warsaw Documentary Film Studio, and Jarosław Skóra, curator of the project. At 16:15, we recommend one of the hits from this year's Visual Front section, Anna Odell's X&Y(Q&A with the director after the screening).

In the evening, we recommend Ridge (18:45) and a meeting with John Skoog (director) and Ita Zbroniec-Zajt (cinematographer), A Moon for My Father (19:00) and later a conversation with Douglas White (director), and a screening of The Best of Dorien B. (19:00), combined with a Q&A with Anke Blondé (director) and Kim Snauwaert (producer), or Divine Love (19:15) and a meeting with Gabriel Mascaro.

Midnight Madness will kick off before sunset together with Kazuo Hara, the director of Extreme Private Eros: Love Song (screening at 19:00). During the same time block, we also recommend Wall (19:15) and a meeting with (almost) the entire film crew (Bartosz Grudziecki, Martin Kosok, Tim Kuhn, Tymoteusz Witczak, and Loretta Schoberer).

Man does not live by film alone. At 16:00, we will get this year's series of literary meetings under way, hosted together with Empik. To get things off to a good start, Michał Nogaś will speak with Michał Woroch, author of the book Krok po kroku. Z Ziemi Ognistej na Alaskę (Step by Step: From Tierra del Fuego to Alaska). At 18:00, we invite you to a curatorial tour of the exhibition Inner Life: The Bump at the Studio BWA Wrocław gallery. We also recommend A Horizontal Panorama: Kodras at TIFF Gallery, Balans Ambient Room #3at IP Studio, and we encourage you to visit OP ENHEIM to see Albert Serra's multimedia installation Sun King. At Centennial Hall, you can watch (and experience) the interactive exhibition Cabinet | Das Kabinett.

In By the Grace of God, an award winner at the Berlinale, one of the masters of contemporary French cinema, François Ozon, focuses on a pedophile scandal in France involving the cardinal of Lyons, Bernard Preynat. Ozon's film will provide the starting point for a debate (19:00, Barbara, ul. Świdnicka 8b) featuring writer, lawyer, and journalist Artur Nowak and MP and social activist Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus. The debate will be hosted by Agata Diduszko-Zyglewska (free admission).

At 19:00, you are invited to the world premiere of Chroma. Księga kolorów based on a book by Derek Jarman. The essays about colors written by the outstanding British director and cult figure of the 1980s and 1990s are an extraordinary song in praise of life and, at the same time, a confession, testament, and farewell to the world-Jarman wrote the book while he was dying of AIDS and losing his sight.
