Portrait of a Woman on Fire by Céline Sciamma at 6:30PM will open the 19th New Horizons International Film Festival. The director as well as the film’s star, Adèle Haenel, will take part in the opening gala. On the first day of the festival we will see Lava Diaz's The Halt (7PM), Jim Jarmusch's The Dead Don’t Die (7:30 PM), A White, White Day by Hlynur Pálmason (8PM and 8:45PM), Abel Ferrara's Tommaso (8:15 PM) and Deerskin by Quentin Dupieux (8:30PM).
At 9:30PM at the Arsenal Festival Club check out the playlists of people who make the festival happen - Alicja Kowalska, Małgorzata Sadowska, Ewa Szabłowska, Błażej Grzechnik, Marcin Pieńkowski and Patryk Straszak. DJ Liquid prepared a set inspired by the favorite tunes of the New Horizons crew.
Beginning tomorrow, we invite you to enjoy the festival's art scene - the opening of the Internal Life: Belly exhibition at Studio BWA Wrocław (7PM), Horizontal Panorama. Kodry at TIFF Center (7PM) and Balans Ambient Room # 3 at IP Studio (2PM).
Recognized artists and New Horizons favorites: this year we again invite you to watch movies in the section prepared with Ale kino+. The films include Deerskin by Quentin Dupieux, Beanpole by Kantemir Balagov and Jeanne Bruno Dumont.
