JerryMaya’s Detective Agency – The Riddle of the Scorpion

The town of Valleby will celebrate its 500th anniversary in a couple of days. However, the celebrations may be interrupted by a thief, whose distinctive mark is a scorpion. Will the young detectives Jerry and Maya pick up the thief’s trail and save the day?

The young detectives have another tough nut to crack. It seems that someone wants to disturb the party with free snacks, so eagerly awaited by all the inhabitants of Valleby. A telescope is stolen from the Academy of Science, the fireworks prepared for the show explode too early, and a live scorpion disappears from a jewelry shop. Maya and Jerry suspect several persons. They even think the thief might be a priest – after all, some evidence was found in the church tower. In their investigation, they are helped by a police officer and by Lillie – a retired thief who lives in a residential care home. Lillie hasn't lost her touch and still knows how her colleagues operate!

The Mystery of the Scorpion is the sixth full-length film based on the bestselling Swedish book series about Lasse and Maja by Martin Widmark and Helena Willis. This crime story won the Audience Award at the 9th International Children's Film Festival.
