Kasia is an energetic 16-year-old living in Krakow. Her mother is unemployed, and they manage to get by on her father’s modest pension. The three of them live together in a small apartment. A trainee at a hair salon, Kasia believes that her life will change for the better once she becomes a professional hairdresser. She enters into an intimate online relationship with a mysterious guy who goes by “Italiano”.
Born in 1983 in the village of Kokotów near Krakow, where he still lives. A graduate of Film Direction from the Krzysztof Kieślowski Faculty of Radio and Television of the University of Silesia in Katowice Also completed the Development Lab feature program at the Wajda School. His film The Whistle has won awards at numerous festivals: in 2012, it was the winner in the Documentary Films category at the T-Mobile New Horizons IFF Polish Short Films Competition, and it also won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival in 2013.
