A mysterious car cuts through a city of shadows and nervously traversed cross-streets are interspersed with anxious stops, leaving the eye to briefly notice this or that. The driver seems intent on searching for something, or, maybe, running from an inchoate threat that may lurk around every corner. Screeches dominate over the images and saturate his exodus with feverishly frenetic energy and surreal terror. The deeper the car penetrates the concrete jungle, the thicker the night gets. Is the oncoming light a bearer of release? Is there a new road beyond the turn on Hill Street? Is it what the driver so desperately sought?
