A film that should satisfy not only the fans of Scandinavian noir genre. The Guilty by Gustav Möller, a true revelation of Sundance and Rotterdam film festivals (audience awards), is a thriller, full of suspense and unexpected twists, in which we are told a story of a former police officer, currently an emergency phone operator. He becomes involved in a case of an alleged kidnapping, where human life relies on immediate decisions he is forced to make. Möller invites the spectator to take part in this elaborate psychological mind game and uses sparse, carefully chosen means to build a dense atmosphere. Each second of the film was planned with a great precision and each wince, look and sound create together a true masterpiece.
Born in 1988, he was educated in film at the Danish Film School and graduated in 2015. For his student film In Darkness (2015), he won the Next Nordic Generation award. His feature debut, the psychological thriller The Guilty (2018), world premiere at Sundance, was supported by the Danish Film Institute (DFI).
