Fritz Hauser – Sound Explorer

Fritz Hauser – Klangwerker
Switzerland 2011 / 61’

In this cinematic portrait of avant-garde Swiss percussionist and composer Fritz Hauser, the camera follows his creative process, through solo and group practices, while composing experimental dance theatre music and his meetings with legendary improv guitarist Fred Frith. The proximity and intimacy of the shots makes viewers part of the composition process of music that defies classification and pigeonholing.
