Maddin's latest film was made for this year's festival in Rotterdam as a part of the Urban Screens project including screenings of three films on office buildings in the city. In his typical Maddin style, Send Me to the 'Lectric Chair shows the inventor of the electric chair - Thomas Edison and his victim - a beautiful diva played by Isabella Rossellini. The film is a series of mad visions seen by the main character while receiving electric shocks: from lustful images to melancholic recollections. (ar)
