Julia is a lonely seven-year-old who is trying her best to prepare for her First Communion. Everything changes one day when she hears the parable of the shepherd and the lost sheep, which shows that God favors sinners.
Nawojka Wierzbowska is studying directing at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School at the University of Silesia in Katowice. In addition to film, she also writes short prose. Her short story “Śmierć i dziewczynka”(Death and the Girl), which provided the basis for her diploma film, A Bad Night Story, won an award at the Silesian Shakespeare Competition. In 2018, she received a Cultural City of Gdańsk grant to make the animated film Bizarium, which she is currently working on.
